About the Author

Steve Hellman is a businessman whose career interests range from oil trading to real estate development, from shipping to self-storage, and from mortgage banking to film production. He is a member of the Council on Foreign Relations and an Advisor to the US State Department. And he supports organizations that help children participate in community service and that reach out to AIDS victims.

But none of that is particularly relevant to The End of Magic. In 1998 Steve started a new career as a father; and since that time he has been telling stories to his children. He, his wife Kathy, and his three children Antonia, Ethan and Arianna live in New York City.
